Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon discards
the objects that were thrown at him

Rangers have suspended the registration of the East Kilbride Supporters' Club following a missile throwing incident and sectarian singing at Tynecastle.

One individual has also been banned from attending all Rangers matches.

Laurence Macintyre, Head of Safety said: "Supporters' clubs must realise that they will be held responsible for the behaviour of those occupying their allocated seats on match days."

An object was thrown on to the pitch during last month's game with Hearts.

Macintyre added: "The supporters' club in question received only three tickets for the match but claimed they did not know who had used them.

"This obstructed our inquiries and prevented us from reaching the actual person or persons involved in this incident.

"We were also made aware of sectarian singing in the same seating area and, as a result of this, and the missile throwing incident, the registration of the supporters' club has been suspended.

"This means the supporters' club's registration has been cancelled and they will not be allocated tickets for any matches.

"The individual who accepted the tickets on behalf of the supporters club has also been banned from attending fixtures."

I certainly don't condone the behaviour of these fans, but maybe the thread title should be changed, as it seems to be implying that all Rangers fans behave in this way, unless that was your intention.

what makes you think Celic fans don't do this as well? Rangers FC are now taking the initiative and actively banning members, shows you that the club is taking action to address the problems, what more can any1 ask for?

Quite right.Fans throwing objects at players shouldn't be tolerated. In this day and age it's relatively simple to identify the hooligans.

PS. Any news on the Celtic fan who chucked the lighter at Ricksen.Parkhead......quite a while ago.Nah......I didn't think so and no real media clamour for the issue to be resolved. Not surprising......journalists live in fear of the inTIMidation.;)

yea, now that they're dominating the league fear & inTIMidation is part of life in Scottish society :D

I could'nt care less about the pesky fan based squabbles of your fans done this & you're fans done that.

Its like in the real world who really gives a fuck, if you believe you're fans are the best there is no need to try an denigrate the oppositions fans to prove you're point.

That said , i've still to see any quality pics of the crafty Celtic supporters who projected Celtics club crest onto the Ibrox stands late at night along with some other Comical stuff.

Surely you can understand that having to drag an opponents name through the mud for the glorification of your own team is regarded as ok , well in Scotland it is anyway.

But to drag a Players wife out for any sorta ridicule, just goes to show where the supporters mentality is Based.

What cant you find any Celtic players in Glasgows nightclubs?

P.S WE ARE THE PEOPLE

Yup i've been too busy to slate Celtic lately.

There will never be a slating of the Celtic board heard well in certain circles, as long as we are 1 point over Rangers.

Henke said it best , when he said 30 mins after losing eufa cup final in 2003, now is the best time to invest in this squad 4 top players we need at most and we will be back here next year.

As per usual Celtic board played him a deafy & Porto strengthened & all is history.

Yup Yup we are the ppl!

It's just another reason to slag him.Nothing more, nothing less.Absolutely sfa to do with him as a player/person,more to do with attempting bugging the hell out of him.

A bit like "Pearo,Pearo,where's yer horse" or,going back a while......"Frank McGarvey's wife's a hooooor!"

Not that Boruc seems to be bothered about it.From what I hear,he's having a bit too much of a good time lately with the bevvy and the ladies. So much so that words have been spoken in his ear by some backroom staff.

Hi guys, I'm going to Glasgow in February, and wtf is this all about? A website about neds, fans of one team having problems with a different religion, is it like Belfast or something? Maybe I should stay in Edinburgh? :P
Any suggestions welcomed.
Anyway, one of the main reasons of the journey is the Celtic (hail hail) game against Hibernians, hoping to see some good football, and both of our boys, Boruc and Zurawski. What parts of the stadium would You recommend to buy a seat? I'm thinking of the North/South stand somewhere in the middle. Upper/lower?

P.S. Lol, forgot my nick may suggest I'm Scottish. I'm not at all :)

Glasgow is not as bad as that. Depending on where you go be sure not to wear blue or green predominently, you might have a bit of bother there.

On the day of the football stay in a large crowd of people & if you arent, be sure to wear a nice big jacket that covers your top/scarf(unless yer a hibee) because some big daft eejit might just say something to you & you won't want that. Dont talk about the football unless your sure you aint gonna upset the locals!

Like anywhere, be nice and people will be nice in return.

Other than that, we might have a (slight)problem with sectarianism in our country but we're a friendly bunch us Scots. Probably the friendliest country you'll ever set foot in.
