Hello folks,
I am glad to join such a group with very interesting topics and various members.

My first post here is to inquire about the potential possibility of the transfer of Brazilian star Wagner from Cruzeiro to Al-Ittihad club in Saudi Arabia. Some local news have reported that and confirmed that the player would arrive to Saudi Arabia within the next few days.

Does anyone have any details about this deal? I had difficulties trying to get some information from Cruzeiro's official website since I don't understand Portuguese.:confused:

Obviously I'm a Cruzeiro fan and this is the first time I hear about this news so i'ts a surprise to me.

This is how I described him last season in the Young Brazilian Prospects Thread:

The first prospect I'll bring up is Wagner Ferreira dos Santos. Wagner is 21 plays for Cruzeiro and is currently having a break out season. He is a left-footed offensive midfielder/second striker (more the ladder) who has quick dribbles and devastating accuracy in front of goal for a midfielder (like a Kaká). He is also a free-kick specialist. He is not as good of a passer as a Ronaldinho or Alex De Souza (not even close actually), he is a player who will look to score more than to give a pass. He is still capable of great passes though. Despite all of this season as an offensive midfielder, he already leads the Campeonato Brasileiro with 8 goals in 10 games. He has played for the Brasil U 17 and U 20 squads.

Here is a clip of Cruzeiro's last game before the World Cup. Wagner had one assist and two goals. The assist was on the second goal and his goals were the teams 3rd and 4th.

u had some interesting info about this gr8 player...

as u mentioned, it is quite surprisingly how those local reporters came up with Wagner story... i am not quite sure if it would end up successfully or not..!!

Anyways buddy, please keep me updated if anything new happens... ur a Cruzeiro fan and definitely u understand Portuguese which i dont...!

R9magia.. seems like the reports have turned out right this time... Al-Ittihad club announced the signing of Wagner on a loan for 6 months...
A few hours ago, Cruzeiro's Director EDUARDO MALUF has arrived to Jeddah along with Wagner's manager.. here are some images:

They said that Wagner will arrive to Jeddah on Saturday, will get back to you with any updates :)
