There is a poll to vote for your Premiership African Player of the Year on the New African Soccer website www.newafricansoccer.co.uk The only prerequisite is that they have played in the English Premiership this season 2006-7. It's not a Golden Boot Contest so it doesn't have to be Didier Drogba! although obviously a very good choice.

As much as I think that Toure is a rock in defence :o ,
there is no denying that Essien and Drogba are the two African players that stood out the most in the EPL this year. Martins has also done relatively well imo. :cool:

nobody did it on Newcastle besides Martins...I wonder what'd happen if he was on chelsea and drogba played in the toon!

either way, stats never lie...Drogba is Da MAn! and African footballer of the year, and the best african footballer in the Prem.

as an egyptian obviously i be a bit bias towards ghaly but i think its between kanu, drogba and essien.
