I posted this on another site, and I thought I might share it with you.
Goalkeeper: Oliver Kahn (Bayern Munich)
His leadership and intensity are unmatched, as are his athleticism and mind for the game. With this man in the league, there isn't much competition for this position. Rely on him in big games; he WILL come through for you.
Right Back: Rafinha (Schalke 04)
What has impressed me most about him this year is his gentlemanly play. That comes before his wonderful technique in the back; he has great vision and few things get through him. The fact that he is only 21 is the most surprising part.
Centre Back: Naldo (Werder Bremen)
Not only is he rock solid at the back line, but he has proven his goal-scoring ability is almost as good as a striker's. You can rely on this man for set pieces and stopping attacks alike. Real breakout season this year has been for him.
Center Back: Ricardo Osorio (VfB Stuttgart)
This guy has been in the starting line-up for Stuttgart throughout their whole run for a championship. That is a lot on the line, and Osorio has held strong throughout the whole ordeal.
Left Back: Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich)
My man. I love him on the left flanks; his cuts to the inside for right-footed attacks and pinpoint crosses with his left have been a great help to Bayern all year. He learned a lot in Stuttgart and from his teammates Lucio and van Buyten, and he is reliable on defence.
Right Midfielder: Bernd Schneider (Bayer Levekusen)
Here is a German who doesn't get the credit he deserves. He can bend a free kick like Nakamura (well, maybe not that much) and is versatile as an attacker and defender.
Central Midfielder: Diego (Werder Bremen)
There isn't much to explain here. Diego is arguably the best midfielder in Germany. He has an arsenal of tricks,, but his most important ability is the way he expertly supplies his strikers with their ammunition. He can create chances for himself, as well.
Central Midfielder: Jan Schlaudraff (Alemania Aachen)
This kid is very creative. I would play him as an attacking midfielder, as he can create chances against the best defences. Jan possesses great skill with his feet, and I see shadows of C. Ronaldo in his dribbling. Just less fancy, of course.
Left Midfielder: Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich)
Bastian has excellent pace down the flanks. Some say he is not consistent enough and too easily injured, but it's to be expected from younger players. When this guy's game is on, he will be launching his signature hammers from sixteen yards out and unlocking defences with his through balls.
Centre Forward: Theofanis Gekas (VfL Bochum)
This Greek can just not stop scoring. He is the epitomy of consistency, leading the Bundesliga in scoring with a mid-table club. Imagine what he could do with Diego and Schlaudraff supplying him bullets.
Centre Forward: Kevin Kuranyi (Schalke 04)
Another high-ability striker criticized for a lack of consistency. Klinsmann left him off the World Cup squad because of that problem, but he has countered his off-year with the best season of his life. I would love to be relying on this man when I need a goal.
Coach: Ottmar Hitzfeld (Bayern Munich)
A high-class man who can turn a struggling team around and make something of the season. He could bring all these big personalities together into a championship team.
And that, my friends, is my Dream Bundesliga Starting XI. If you couldn't tell, I love lots of youth mixed with a little experience.
