Not sure if someone already made a thread on this, but can you believe the MLS salaries and how they've gone up??!!

I had no idea, I always thought they were making 40 or 50K tops, but some are making in the millions

Thats good though, means the sport is growing

Perkins is getting up there, I think last year he was only catching 11g's. Living in this area he probably couldn't even afford to rent out a room in the backseat of some dudes car.

Look at Bornstein for Chivas, he is an up and comer making 57K. That's a steal for him.

man, thats outstanding for some of those teenagers (Adu, Mapp, Gomez) i know its nothing compared to Messi, Cesc, and Rooney, but for teenagers in the USA, their better off than most graduates with PhD and Masters.

excellent find!!! the disparity in pay scale (top to bottom feeders) is huge... the minimum salary should be more than what I'm seeing. 13k? wtf.... you can't live on that...

(Now to include the TFC salaries in the official tfc thread... :D )

You'd have to have a second job, no???
But how do they balance travel, practice and matches with a second job???

Wow. MLS salaries are unbelievably low. No wonder the players don't give it their all. How does MLS keep talented youngsters from going to Europe with poor salaries like that? Surely guys like Taylor Twellman and Marvell Wynn are good enough for the Championship where they would make more money.

 Bobby Boswell scores a goal against Chelsea and he only makes 30k a year?
