Where the hell is the good old Japan? Where's Ono? What about Alex or Inamoto? and of course, it's a pity Hidetoshi retired.
but two Nakamuras in the same team!:)

In my opinion, this team is a bit better than Japan '00 and far superior to Japan '04. In addition, this team has the potential to be much stronger in some years.

It's true.. the have potential...
but it's another question if they can use it...
don't understand me wrong...
i am a big (read: GIANT) supporter from the JFA..
but.. when it comes down to results..
i prefer the 2004 Asian Cup, where they started
weakly.. and after almost losing, they did pretty well in the last two games
(The game against Bahrein... i remember going NUTS in front of the TV)..
instead of showing good football at the beginning (i thought they finally lost their
problems in front of goal, after the games againt Vietnam, UAE
and even Australia...) and ending up somehow tired.. (last two games..)
come on... they SHOULD have made it better this year..
they had a better chance than in 2004...
even if i like seeing yamase and tanaka as well as other in the team...
but i really miss oguro.. and tamada...
