Hi,
What about Orange ekstraklasa?
Legia started suprisingly very well "almost" like Bayern, Wisla improved squad. My beloved Lech Poznan is playing not bad but unfortunately still no enough strong to be champion (or who knows if zaglebie could last season). Gargula is back in Belchatow. So who will win the trophy?

After 22 from 30 rounds of Polish Orange Ekstraklasa situation in the top of the table is quite clear.

The leader after first round wasn't sleeping during the winter transfer window. Wisła made three important transfers this winter:
Wojciech Łobodziński - a former player of 2007 champion Zagłębie Lubin, right midfielder of Polish national team
Júnior Díaz - a left back from CS Herediano, part of Costa Rican national team
Radosław Matusiak - a former star of GKS Bełchatów who had played in US Palermo, until he joined sc Heerenveen; the Dutch club has loaned this forward to the end of 2007/2008 season.

However, some important players left Wisła:
Kamil Kosowski - a former midfielder of Kaiserslautern, Southampton and Chievo Verona joined Cádiz when his contract in Wisła expired. He has also made 50 caps for Poland.
Michael Thwaite - an Australian right back, who was bought from National Bucuresti signed a contract with the Norwegian side Brann Bergen.
Jacob Burns - an another footballer from Wisła's Socceroos colony came to Wisła from Barnsley. Previously he played for Leeds in Champions League, at the moment he is a player of Romanian Unirea Urziceni.

Wisla is dominating in the league, no doubt about it. They almost feel like a champions, because they can't lose the advantage over the other teams.
Finally, we probably have in Poland a team who can compete in the European tournaments. I hope they will get the qualification for the UEFA Champions League next year, because it would be a great success for the whole Polish football.
Even I am not the fan of Wisla, I have to say they are just great now. I always support Legia Warsaw, which is currently on the second place in the league. Legia's ambitions are extremely high, but the club didn't have the roster, which is not good enough to win the league.

I am a bit suprised that Legia is one point ahead of Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski, because recently the form of Jan Urban's lads was terrible. The Warsaw club has also the conflict between the Legia's management and the fanatic supporters. The owner of the club didn't let him to make a great support for the team, which was recognizable in Europe.

I really recommend some Polish games posted in the video forum, because very often he have an exciting matches. Maybe, the tactics of the teams aren't very good, it's very far from Serie A, but you would like the show.
I believe that some day, Legia will show again their value, but now it's not possible. The best player in the time is Takesure Chinyama from Zimbabwe. He has already scored 13 goals in the league and after that he got the call to his international team.

Legia Warsaw's Roger
The biggest star of the league is Roger Guerreiro, who has the chance to be the part of the Polish team on Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland. Now, he is waiting to get the nationality of our country and then... who knows. The coach Leo Beenhakker said he would be a great addition to his squad.
Probably after the end of the season, the Brazilian midfielder will leave Poland to play in the better league, for example in Ligue 1. Paris Saint Germain were interested in him, but you can't be sure about joining them, because they may will be relegeted.

As long he can't leave Polish league he will say that he loves Poland and he wants to play in Polish team. ;)

I wish it's not the some type of character like Olisadebe, who forgot anything about Poland. He got passport, which helped him to join Panathinaikos a few years ago and then he didn't want to play for Poland anymore after World Cup in South Korea and Japan. OK then "Emsi" - where are you now? In the Second Division of the Cyprus league!
