Ricardo Osorio either plays right back or center back. He's started both games already this season and started 26 league games last year.

The best lineup, if all players are fit should look somewhat like this:
Schäfer
Osorio__DELPIERRE__Meira__Boka/Magnin
PARDO
Hilbert____Hitzelsberger
Bastürk
GOMEZ__Merica/Cacau
subs: Langer, Tasci, Boka/Magnin, Khedira, da Silva, Merica/Cacau, Ewerthon
The capped one are the players to watch in their departement.
Hilbert is a rather offense minded mindfielder, but has to cover the RB position, if Osorio isn't fit, due to lack of natural alternatives on that position.

right, Osorio instead of Boka and Gomez for Marica
R. Schäfer
Osorio, Tasci, Meira, Magnin
Pardo
Hilbert, Hitzlsperger
Khedira
Cacau, Gomez
Bastürk, Ewerthon, Marica, Boka, A. Farnerud
Bastürk ( back from injury) could make it in into the first team in the next two weeks.
You probably get Stuttgart at the right moment, they started very slow into their season (4/12 points).
Stuttgart get's an other weak opponent right before the Rangers game,
maybe they get their thing going then.
Is hillbert a natural right full back?
no, he is a OM.
Delpierre is unlikely for the Rangers game.

Gomez is really strong, he is "player of the year" in 07 and im sure Khedira is next in Germany´s national team.
Both are very very, ...very strong for their young age (22 + 20).

Dissapointing as after the Schalke game I had down Hilbert as a weak full back. Boka was suspect aswell, not exactly the tallest defender ive ever seen but seems to be strong enough to hold off big asamoah but like Hilbert was caught out of possesion when Shalke counter attacked a few times. Good news about Delpierre if hes a 1st choice, Meira looks decent but still undecided about Tasci. I was impressed by Khedira and Pardo also seems to play the holding midfielding role well.
My opinions only based on the 1st game and I realise players can have off games but they played a very attacking game. I dont see Hitzlsperger as a left winger so it'll be interesting to see how Magnin plays. Our right wing is our strongest area so I can see us exploiting them if Magnin has an off day.

Good scouting PG, FC Barcelona needs that information as well.
In the group of death anything could happen.
I'm concerned of the Barca defence when they face fast-paced counter-attacks by strong physical players.
Stuttgart won't be easy - just look how well Werder Bremen did.

Stuttgarts midfield is very good. Last season Stuttgarts playmaking was even better than Werder Bremens, that was the main reason for the success in my eyes and they lost no players. However, you dont need to be undecided about Tasci. He is just 20 years old but when he plays then he does it without mistakes. For me he is within the Top10 Defenders of the league. He is on the same level as Meira, but not that experienced, not yet his positional play and not that brutal of course ;p
