So I thought I'd create a thread to discuss little things in French football. Things that don't deserve their own thread. For example:

Charles Itange is now at Liverpool? Seems like a bad move to me. He's a good replacement for Dudek though. Solid keeper.

It's Itandje and yes it's a bad move since he'll hardly ever play. The main reason why he left is because Guy Roux -Lens' coach at that time- bought Runje and said he would be the first choice keeper, so Itandje felt betrayed and he now warms Liverpool's bench instead of warming Lens' bench... he should have gone to another club where he would've had some playing time :S

How do you guys feel about Nancy? I haven't seen them play so I'm not sure why they're doing so well. Last season they were one of those mid table teams that I just didn't care about.

The other thing I wonder about is Nice. They seem like a very good team but are always at the bottom of the table.

I couldn't stop laughing when he made this move. Great talent, yet he goes to a club where the no. 1 is one year older than you and a better talent. Not to mention if Scott Carson doesn't sign permanently with Aston Villa(I think he will), he will be relegated to third choice. Funny, if he would have signed with Lyon, he be starting :p.

Nancy's strikers are meshing very well. Kim and Fortune are playing well and Hadji is finally waking up and playing like he played with Nancy during his first-stint. Nancy, though, has a rough schedule coming up through the end of the year. After Monaco, they play releagtion zone Schoaux and Metz, and then they play mostly top and mid table teams ending with Lyon in late December.

How many matches does anyone think Lille win draw this season?

Saying that Nancy really didn't deserve to win against Lorient by that margin.

PSG look beyond lackluster again, just something about them which is so slow and disjointed. Marseille aren't any better.

Pick up of the season, Steve Savinaud from Nante to Valenciennes. Snatched an absolute bargain there.

I've been really surprised that L'Orient and Valenciennes & Nancy have made such good starts to the season. I thought they'd be fighting relegation.

How do you guys rate the Valenciennes striker Steve Savidan? Is he really that good?

the man is got a good touch and shot but his positioning is average. nevertheless he is a good striker and would have been playing for a bigger club in france if it wasnt for his age. he about 29 as far as i can remember
