The situation today is sunny 9 C, with strong winds, still some snow to melt and everyone is waiting for the football to start.

It's gonna be nice with Allsvenskan again, but everybody here knows that the real league doesn't start till next week. That's right, Superettan baby!!
So you'll be going to Ullevi today, nice. The weather is actually nice today and the snow is more or less gone (in Gothenburg). And wow, what a big match tomorrow Malmö - Göteborg.
I'm gonna stick my head out there and say that Göteborg will win this year too. I don't really care who wins, as long as it's not Elfsborg (där fick ni alla ellos-pojkar!).

This is great. I get no Swedish league coverage, and given the other leagues I follow, I'm disinclined to seek any out. But if you were to post here, I would certainly try to keep reading.

There are quite a few matches being capped and put up on swedish trackers.

This is great. TV4 are sending quite a lot of matches. Today they'll send Djurgården - Malmö (a big match).
Now, with Allbäck back in ÖIS I can't wait for superettan to kick off!! His first match after Euro 08 is gonna be massive!!

The results of the second round this far.
Djurgården vs Malmö 1-1
Gefle vs Norrköping 2-0
Göteborg vs Örebro 4-1
Trelleborg vs GAIS 3-1
Helsingborg vs Halmstad 1-1
It was Helsingborgs game from the start but they failed to score more than one goal.
It was like they had received a virus by watching Arsenal or Barcelona lately.

MotM = Halmstad's keeper. Larsson missed a penalty at 87'.

Hammarby vs Sundsvall
Kalmar vs Ljungskile
Elfsborg vs AIK
Now, with Allbäck back in ÖIS I can't wait for superettan to kick off!! His first match after Euro 08 is gonna be massive!!
Any bets for him to become the high scorer of Superettan...?
If he gets the support he needs by the rest of ÖIS he will be... good luck!

That Malmö-Djurgården game was disappointing. I kinda felt like Malmö was in control most of the game and really blew some decent chances. The Djurgården defense was poor for nearly the entire game. And now, we're stuck with only two points in two games I felt like we should have won.

Haha yea I don't know what we were doing back then in those two 5-0 losses but well we finished second at last still:D and now it's a new season, we just scored 0-1 against Örebro, listening to the radio:D The league will probably be at least as even as it was last year this year too. We could have won the league if we hadn't lost or played draws in games that we should have won against the bottom teams of the league. Hope that won't happen again this season. :p

Rami, Rami, Rami. Looks like he hasn't bounced back from that Brazil match yet.
Only 3 days till Superettan kick off!!
Hello there Allsvenskan friends.
Is there any "highlights" of Allsvenskan rounds anywhere to be d-loaded?
I dont have Canal+, nor the streams work (I got the last minute of the Örebro game yesterday :o ) on Sopcast and TVU.
I know - I should get Canal. They show two games in a week these days in Finland, which is great.
Is there any help - anywhere?
Cheers. Good topic - keep it up!

piratebay has quite a few Allsvenskan matches popping up regularly. I see some have been posted here too, which is very nice.
bad thing is that they seem to be in categories all over the place there, don't know if it's done deliberately or not, but they'd sure get more downloads if they'd be in their logical place.

For those who want to know...
This is the current table after 16 matches played, that's half-a-season +1 match.
1. Kalmar - 35 points
2. Elfsborg - 31
3. Helsingborg - 31
4. Göteborg - 29
During the last six games Helsingborg have 5 wins and a draw. A solid confident team again, led by Henrik Larsson and Marcus Lantz.
- and Kalmar have started to drop points because they have sold two of their best players. What a Stupidity! :D
14 games to go.
The man in red is Marcus Lantz, a midfield player combining the skills of Fabregas and Gattuso, almost.
Marcus played in Bundesliga and in danish Bröndby before he came back to Helsingborg after 8 years abroad.

Well, yes we have sold two of our best players but one of them, Viktor Elm, will stay the whole season out and instead go for free to Heerenveen after the season, only Cesar Santin has already left. I actually was to his last game when Kalmar beat Malmö 3-2. Of course Cesar is a big loss, he was one of allsvenskan's best players. But he is not unreplaceable, Abiola Dauda for example is a talented player though not at Cesars level yet. I don't know why our coach didn't play him from the start yesterday, but oh well....
I think we still have a good chance for the goal but of course it will be a lot tougher without Santin. But we also have for example Ingelsten who is the best goalscorer this far and our team has scored by far most goals. Unfortunately our defence is not working as good as some years ago when we played more boring football to be able to establish ourselves in the league.
Actually by the way I also think we missed our suspended team captain Henrik Rydström yesterday as our defensive midfielder, but oh well....
He was bad in the home game against Malmö, but he doesn't use to be that bad and he would have been needed yesterday to be able to defend our lead.
But oh well he is back for the next game....
We have a game on Thursday in the Uefa Cup qualifications against a team from Luxembourg called Racing FC or something, but we won 0-3 away so we are more or less through anyway lol.
and yes, I'm a KFF supporter if you haven't understood that already, I live just 30 km from Kalmar so....

This year, by the way the first season has looked, it's Kalmars title to win or to lose.
And if they screw up again like yesterday:D, there are some hungry wolves waiting behind. :);)
Sorry for the smirks but most fans of other clubs have been waiting for Kalmar to stop winning - to get Allsvenskan interesting again.
I don't think Kalmar has ever won Allsvenskan, and if they don't do it this year it will be very unlucky.
Can't wait for the home games that could decide the outcome.
HIF vs Kalmar, 24 Sept
HIF vs Elfsborg, 5 Oct
HIF vs IFK Göteborg, 9 Nov
And of course the derby Malmö FF vs HIF, 29 Sept
But the 4 next games of ours should result in at least 10 points if we want to go for the title race.

It's no problem lol, I understand that you want it to become interesting again :P
And yea, we have never won it, and this feels like the best chance we'll ever get for a long while to win it cause many of our best players will be gone for next year....though Nanne Bergstrand is a smart coach who probably can buy some good talents and build the team up again, like he took Cesar four years ago, he was not at all that good back then but the longer he played for us the better he got. Ingelsten was also nothing special before he came here. Maybe he can do the same with Dauda, Sobralense and so on and some new players that maybe he will buy to the team later, so that we'll get a good team again in som years, but we'll see about that. I hope he can, but it's hard to be as good as we have been..
And I hope they will start to build that **** new arena soon, how long must we wait?
And anyway, I suppose you support HIF after reading your post, and well if Kalmar will go down in the table I'd rather see them winning than Elfsborg or Göteborg....
I see you have all the top teams left at home, we have Elfsborg and Göteborg left at home too. I hope you beat them and we do the same and that we get at least a draw down in Helsingborg :P But that will be really really tough, so honestly speaking I doubt we will....I think we can beat all teams at home, but away is harder and Helsingborg has a strong team so..but we'll see :P :D You lost some unnecessary points like Norrköping at home only 2-2 in the beginning of the season but you have got better now. It will be a close season once again probably, so it will probably be very exciting and interesting, I hope my nerves aren't TOO bad :/ xD

The Table of Allsvenskan - 25 of September 2008
http://xs431.xs.to/xs431/08394/allsvenskan_sept08822.jpg
Looks like Kalmar FF and Elfsborg will fight for the title this year.
But since Helsingborg beat Kalmar recently there's a minor chance for my team to take up the fight.
Yeah, that's right.... we beat the leaders to make the fight more interesting... and who scored?
Henrik Larsson... who else

Sadly, all three teams have lots of injuries by now. The depth of the teams
will play an important part during the last 7 games that are left of the season.
Next home game for Helsingborg is Elfsborg, a win there is very important.

Allsvenskan - The Swedish League is over. Kalmar FF won. First time ever. They are still celebrating.
Their manager Nanne Bergstrand even got a street named after him in the small city of Kalmar.

Right now it's my boys Malmö FF and Dannes' boys HIF sitting tied at the top of the table. I've only seen MFF v ögryte. It was exciting. MFF looks good but as my cousin in Malmö said, it's only a matter of time and MFF will be back to their useless selves....lol
