Default Inter likely to sack Mancini

Internazionale's president has hinted that coach Roberto Mancini may be on his way out following the side's shock UEFA Champions League exit to Villarreal.

President Giacinto Facchetti and Inter fans reacted angrily to the performance, which saw their side crash out 1-0 in Spain.

Supporters complained to the team at Valencia and at Milan's airport for not putting up a fight and Facchetti has echoed their views.

He said: "It's incredible that only in the last five minutes did the team show any sort of reaction.

"I don't want to talk about singular players and I don't want to make any predictions for the future because when we do we fail.

"I will talk with Mancini in the next few days even if I don't decide to change everything again."

Mancini was visibly disappointed after the game and took sole responsibility for the display.

"We didn't do enough. We had to score a goal to go through, and we didn't do it, but my guys did their best.

"We had a good chance to get to the semi-final and Villarreal aren't any better than us. I'll have to evaluate things.

"I think the coach must take responsibility for what happens. The responsibilities are mine."

Mancini has done the best he could with a team full of INDIVIDUALS, who wouldn't play together with great team spirit, no matter who was in charge. Inter were never going to win the Champions League anyway, and Villareal are a very good side. Mancini should keep his job and be allowed to buy some team players

I voted for no. Dont know if sacking coach would change anything. I would give him one more season.

I voted no as well, because I think the people at the club blame the players much more than Mancini...or so they should. Inter are playing the best football in years under Mancini and it would be madness to sack him. Instead, Inter needs wholesale changes to its squad and get Adriano playing consistently.

Inter should change their tactics for once, and keep a coach.I really don't know what is going on with this club.No matter how much money moratti spends, they never achieve anything.

He bought the best coaches money could buy in the past, but they all failed

Thumbs up

Exactly!
Look what happened with Edgar Davids last year.
The president bought him, then Mancini didn't want him.
