Midfielders: Ambrosini (Milan), Aquilani (Roma), De Rossi (Roma), Perrotta (Roma), Pirlo (Milan), Semioli (Fiorentina)
Forwards: Borriello (Genoa), Di Natale (Udinese), Palladino (Juventus), Quagliarella (Udinese), Toni (Bayern Munich)

most notable Buffon, and Gattuso are injured. i dont understand the Cassano admission, ( i hate the kid, but Donadoni has been talking him up for so long, why wouldnt he call him?) and Borriello seems to have earned it, but didnt see that one either.

im most worried about the lack of goals from our forwards leading into the Euro, this should be telling against Portugal, im hoping a trident of Di Natale, Quag, and Toni in the middle proves to score goals.

since then i think Toni has grabbed 2 in the Bundesliga, but a little more consistency would be nice. its not always the number the manager looks at, but when the goals come. Toni went through a decent drought for a little, and that never helps if he continues not scoring in the NT. but i think he will be our most consistent for the Euro 08, and this friendly will just be a touch of confidence for him, get him time on the ball and hopefully get him used to the partnership of Quagliarella and Di Natale, who i think will start up front with him.

Yeah, he retired from international football after the world cup.

Donadoni explains some of the selections. i agree for the most part, especially with the right winger. dont think Palladino is that great for NT, sometimes strong for Juve, but as he states, not many options available to Donadoni.

My vote- Taddei if he takes Italian citizenship.
