I'm finding it slightly worrying that a number of our big-name, experienced and basically top managers are going to England, or at least abroad. There's Capello managing the England NT, Ancelotti who looks to be going to Chelsea, Mancini who seems to want to go to Sunderland. Trapattoni is coaching Ireland. Who knows where Ranieri will end up. Then West Ham have whatshisface, though fair enough he's not a big/experienced manager.

What big Italian names are managing Italian sides? Spaletti at Roma, though I don't think he's at the level in terms of experience as the first three I mentioned. Prandelli at Viola, same as Spaletti. And that's all that comes to mind. Yes Lippi is with the NT, but I'm talking about Italian clubs. Everyone seems to be leaving, or at least no longer managing our clubs.

on the contrary i think its wonderful. it proves Italians produce the best managers. quite easily shows that actually.

Spalletti- Roma (for now)
Fiorentina- Prandelli
Genoa- Gasperini
Juve- Ranieri until recently, now possibly Conte or Ferrara

so in the top 6 of Italian clubs, we have 4 Italians. now, in EPL does top 6 have ANY English managers? Nope.

Ancelotti presumably to Chelsea or possibly Real as you say.
Mancini, no top manager, but wanted in EPL.
Zola at WHU doing very well
Allegri did amazing at Cagliari this year
Donadoni, again a bit like Mancini, but back in management
Ranieri up for whatever
Reja still out there
Trombetta took Cluj to the CL this year
NT's-
Lippi
Trappatoni, Tardelli assistant
Capello
Casiraghi for the U21's

not to mention that the only foreign manager in Serie A this year was Mourinho, cant say that about hardly ANY other league having only one manager not from the home country.

im sure $ is a huge reason.
there are only 20 clubs in Italy as well...so if one wants to manage a big club, theres only so many in Italy.

i dont see how its bad that Italian managers are hot property among Europe, the world etc.

i love the final day, theres usually alot of camaraderie among the players and coaches, after a long season. just nice to see the players going out and enjoying the last day, bringing their kids out, giving the fans a show etc

Livorno promoted today after beating Brescia 3-0.
i was rooting for Brescia due to my disdain for Livorno, but Livorno was just better.

good for Roma either way it turned out probably tho, as Rosi could go on loan with them another year and get Serie A experience (he missed a great chance early on today) and Okaka would have if Brescia went up.

At the end of the day Livorno was better and deserved to win. Anyway I think they have a better chance of staying in Serie A. They have a good core and experienced players. They know what it feels like to be in Serie A so they have much better chances to be able to stay in Serie A for longer than one season.
