Decent showing against Scotland (still get a good buzz watching Bradley's goal). Anyone else excited for tonight's match with Brazil?

Brek Shea and Fabian Johnson could be a solid combination down the left. Chandler and Holden down the other wing could really open things up for this team.

Brek Shea back from the international wilderness, and boy did he play a big part in the build-up to the winning goal in tonight's historical win over Mexico!
Great games by Cameron, Edu, and Howard especially.

makes sense. he's looking for a new employer that'll obide by contractual obligations instead of trying to swindle him some more
any reasoning behind bocanegra not being picked? he played today & last week i just noticed he wasn't even on the subs bench midweek

Sundhage steps down as women's coach
Quote:
After leading the U.S. women's soccer team to two Olympic gold medals and its first spot in a World Cup final in more than a decade, coach Pia Sundhage is stepping down.
Saturday's announcement of Sundhage's departure came just a few hours before the Americans kicked off their "victory tour" to celebrate their gold medal at the London Olympics, where the Americans beat Japan 2-1 in a rematch of last year's World Cup final. The search for a new coach will begin immediately.
Sundhage leaves with an 88-6-10 record.
The news does not come as a total surprise. There is no major tournament until the Women's World Cup in 2015, and Sundhage has expressed a desire to coach in her native Sweden.

Indeed. Smart of her to step down with the US at the top, too. Don't want to outstay your welcome.
Any ideas/theories for her replacement?
