The situation is worrying. Masiello was arrested and other former Bari players are investigated: Daniele Portanova, Alessandro Parisi, Simone Bentivoglio, Marco Rossi, Abdelkader Ghezzal, Marco Esposito, Antonio Bellavista e Nicola Belmonte.

Can someone explain why it's OK to fix matches for money, and you'll only receive a points penalty, but talking with a referee designator, and not actually doing anything wrong, gets you relegated and gets two of your titles handed over to someone else? Can someone seriously explain this?

what i wanna know is why people get so passionate about this shit, when blatant rigging goes on ALL the time...and some grown ass men treat this like a religion...SMH

Its more obvious then ever that Calciopoli was orchestrated solely to relegate Juve. Not to mention that it justifies all the complaints from the Juve camp.

Not one game was found to be fixed, and later evidence proved that there were teams worse than Juve. Yet Juve gets relegated, and here we have actual fixed games and all they talk about is points deduction. All those teams should be relegated.

Hristiyan Ilievski, a Macedonian mafioso who gave an interview to La Repubblica a few weeks ago, is to be believed, the match-fixing is far more wide-reaching that even the authorities believe.

"Players phoned me and said: '20,000 (euros) on this result', I did it because I trusted them," he said. "That doesn't happen in England but it does in Italy. The players make an agreement and then bet or sell their information. "Often it's the directors of the clubs themselves who come to an agreement."

of the bettor/s to fix Sampdoria - Napoli game on May 16, 2010. In the dressing room he asked

fixing games in Italy shouldn't be allowed to play again.

- Ferrario (Lecce) testified to Prosecutor Office that 2 days before
Lazio 4-2 Lecce, Zamperini offered him and several players from Lecce
monies to fix the game. He gave his o.k. and so did Mauri (Lazio).

- Passoni (Albinoleffe) during his deposition to 007 Federal confirmed
that he and his team mates meet Siena’s Carobbio, Coppola and a staff
member to fix (AlbinoLeffe 1-0 Siena). Poloni (Asst-Coach AlbinoLeffe)
confirmed he was aware that Siena were to grant Albinoleffe a win.

- 1st Trial is likely to be end of May, 2012 and finish before Euros.

* Documents from investigation done by Prosecutor Office in Bari will
arrive @ FIGC, Federal Prosecutor Palazzi office in Rome end of May 2012.
- The witnesses and charged will be notified and then FIGC will send the
2nd Referrals to the Disciplinary Commission.
- 2nd Trial is likely to be in July and finish before August 2, 2012.
(3rd qualifying round of EL)

- Serie A clubs that could be part of 2nd referrals are:

- Slovenian Dino Lalic who was the point man for Bettors known as the
Gypsies arrived back in Rome today from Zagreb. He had been a fugitive
since December of 2011 when Prosecutor of Cremona had implicated him.

member to fix (AlbinoLeffe 1-0 Siena). Poloni (Asst-Coach AlbinoLeffe)
confirmed he was aware Siena were to grant Albinoleffe a win.

it's all fixed, why do people seriously even bother with the italian league at all.
