I'd be enthusiastic about Zeman at Roma, although it's not official yet.
Formation similarities aside ("4-3-3"), Zeman's tactics are actually antipodal to Luis Enrique's: little ball possession, vertical play, long passes … This is a well known Pescara play which illustrates the differences:

yea, i think LE year can just be summed up as a waste. a lucky guy who got an opportunity he didnt take and ducked out of in the end.
but its true Zeman's game isnt necessarily all possession..
i still think Montella should be ours. if he goes to Fiorentina ill be pissed.
Zeman on sat will be announced tho.

No defense for 6-7 years. What can you do.

still not gonna have one probably :P
with Zeman all we've been linked with is attackers and forwards, except Silvestre, and I dont rate him that highly anyway.

Gago released today which is no real probably if you ask me. a poor man's De Rossi so back to Real he goes. and 8 mil would have been ridiculous if you ask me anyway.

He was excellent for Argentina today, maybe Roma isn't for him but I can see him at Valencia or a Porto?

Gago's an orderly player, his passes completion is surprisingly high because he takes few chances (he has three assists). He often played higher up on the pitch than De Rossi (who also played as a central defender), and yet he scored fewer goals and provided as many assists.
Gago's shooting abilities are not extraordinary. He's seldom a danger from the distance (unlike De Rossi, Aquilani … or even Marquinho!). I remember one long distance goal this season.
I frankly can't remember him winning a header in midfield on the other hand.
He's at the peak of his career and physical condition, and yet he's rather slow compared to his team mates. He would certainly fare better in a team with high ball possession, but not too intense pressing … that's hardly Zeman's Roma.
Now, I must admit I admire the fellow as he's always shown professionalism, composure and politeness. But then these shouldn't be virtues, but normality ...

nothing against Zeman.
but I really dont get it given that Montella is now freed from Catania and going to Fiorentina. basically that says that Montella wasnt out first choice, which really bothers me actually.
433 with Zeman, lets hope the Totti of 97 or 07 shows up still to once again carry us to glory
