Short clip summarising a few moments of De Rossi's match against Spain, when he played as a central defender:

It's official, Marquinho is now a Roma player — 3.5M Euro.

I didn't want to sound triumphal, but this goes to show that most newspapers generally spread bullshit, especially when Roma is involved. The usual suspects (websites, radios, newspapers) all claimed Marquinho wouldn't be purchased. He was, and for a lesser prices than originally agreed on (4.5). The same happened with Borini's reports.

reports that Heinze may not be in Zeman's plans...wasnt ever the biggest fan of him, but concerned whenever we are getting rid of defenders, specifcally CB's given last campaign

signed Dodo today from Corinthians, young player with knee problems. other than that, i dont know much.

and lets hope De Rossi can get some rest, long season through the Euro's, Borini should be fine but Daniele could use the vacation time.

reports are that Borini has already been sold.

MAKES 0 SENSE. we were having a good transfer window, but not after that.
Borini- young, talented, hard working WING player perfect for the 4-3-3 on the right side, and helps all the FB's to defend. we JUST bought his contract out, he JUST made the EURO 2012 squad AFTER being injured, and Roma sells him?

wow.

Dodo, Castan, Bradley is a steal at 5 million I feel, Jung would have been a good buy if he was still on the market, and Marquinho's permanent signing is good, as well as Lopez in the January window, holding onto Osvaldo, and clearly making the emphasis on defense, as well as Burdisso coming back like a new signing.

so Borini? why?

also, sad to see Serie A's best players leaving year after year. Ibra and Silva sold now to PSG for a staggering sum, and to balance Milan's books. it weakens Milan which is good for other teams, but Inter and Juve I think have strengthened. i feel we would have a very competitive squad if we held Borini : /

To Juan and Simplicio who have rescinded their contracts with us, I can only say thank you, particularly to Juan who I always felt was an amazing professional.

I've seldom seen somebody as good as Juan in anticipating plays and intercepting the ball. He was among the very best in the world when he was fit. Unfortunately, he often got injured and, sadly, he got picked on by the press just as often.

Simplicio proved determinant in a derby, that's enough to remember him by. But he also showed exemplary dedication. He really seems like a well meaning and wholehearted person. I watched the "open day" live stream a few days ago: he was among the last to leave the pitch. To greet the fans goodbye he shot the ball in the stands, took his shirt off and threw it to supporters, took his shoes off and did the same. That was his last day at the Olimpico. Other players were much more detached than him.

Simplicio has been a class act everywhere he's played. Him and Bresciano always made up a good midfield.

Fabio and Juan were always classy. unfortunately too many Cicinho's and Adriano's who fuck it up for them.

our first friendly out this year, and clearly back to Zeman days, just pouring forward. certainly a difference from LE's pass between the back 4 model.

I, as everyone else, am still curious how Totti will fit, i think we will score many goals, but Im not sure Totti will get a ton.

Lamela, Lopez, Bojan (greaaaat gol by the way), Tachtsidis, and Castan all looking very good. Osvaldo will score a ton if he just stays in the box, as will Destro if he comes in.

Bradley fit very nicely too.

I would say our FB's are still all up for grabs. and still concerned about Stek and the defense, but should be more solid when DDR returns.

lets trim some of the fat, send some of the young ones on loan, and get a solid 24-26ish and see what we can do without Euro commitments.

Destro saga complete. time will tell if he is worth 7 mil, Verre, + basically Borini who I have categorized as losses like that of Mexes, ie. ridiculous management.

but you cant argue we dont have a competitive squad.

gonna score goals thats for sure.

haven't posted here in a while. not really much to say i guess lol. a lot of rumors here and there. people coming and going

really gutted that borini left, but hopefully destro can have a good season and make me forget all about it

i saw the entire lubin and liverpool match, and we looked really good throughout. castan, tachtsidis, and bradley really stood out to me in both games. i like iverpool fans are still trying to belittle their loss by saying they were onlyplaying reserves. but tbf, we were starting the likes of lobont, lopez, burdisso (coming off injury), 2 serie B players, a winger at left back, and 4 new signings who haven't really fit in yet. simply put, we won fair and square. i'm really happy we did because i fucking hate liverpool. even more than i hate inter and juve

i have yet to see the el salvador match yet and hopefully it'll be uploaded somewhere

right now the only areas left we need to take care of this mercato are centerback and right back. and we need to sell angel/borriello/pizarro

The match versus El Salvador wasn't particularly entertaining, but it was surprisingly physical! The South Americans tried their best to even out the score, sometimes resorting to foul play. Tachtsidis was sent off, after an altercation.

I've never watched Destro play, but most seem to agree that he's more technical than Borini, although not as pacey. Ivan Piris seems to have signed a deal with Roma (right full back). There have been insistent talks of Torosidis moving to Roma (right full back), while Rosi (some claim) will move to Parma. We'll see ...
