Activity or not, I think it's rather unfair to see leagues like the Scotish one with a main forum like EPL and La Liga, and the Portuguese league getting something hidden. Maybe we're few, but this way we'll be few forever. We need something to get us motivated

Colleagues,

The recent success of Portuguese soccer (at club and national levels) affirms that it certainly deserves a topic section of its own next to the EPL, La liga, etc... Portugal's achievements and continued competitiveness in international competitions such as Champions League and Uefa Cup (not to mention Euro2004), merit a discussion forum of its own. There are many topics to be debated and many performances to be critiqued. The Moderators of this website should consider this in choosing which countries deserve a section of their own.

However, in looking over some of the main sections - it is clear that they have much more participation than the Portuguese one. It is understandable that EPL, La Liga, and Serie A should have more participation-they possess more fanfare. But, it is inexcusable that Portuguese fans generate less discussion than the Scottish/German sections. Thus, the challenge to fans of this Portuguese section should be to produce more debate and most definitely post more. I, for one, will hereby start to participate more. If the moderators see that this section is getting a lot of attention, perhaps we will be "promoted" to the main section again. What do you think?

I generally agree, but where does most of the traffic to this site come from?

If it's Britain and the US it's not surprising, because the coverage Portuguese football receives - in England at any rate - is virtually non-existent.

And if you don't see or hear about it, you can't be expected to offer an informed opinion.
