Default Starting XI vs. your ideal starting XI

What do you think the starting lineup will be on Sunday?

Most of the lineup will probably be the same as the one used in the last couple of friendlies, but Scolari might make some changes. Do you agree? Disagree?

Anyway, here is what I think will be the starting lineup: (no changes)

Ricardo Pereira; Miguel, Fernando Meira, Ricardo Carvalho, Nuno Valente, Costinha, Maniche, Luis Figo, Deco, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pauleta

Here is what I would prefer:

Portugal: Ricardo Pereira; Miguel, Fernando Meira, Ricardo Carvalho, Nuno Valente, Tiago, Maniche, Luis Figo, Deco, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pauleta

Subs: Simao has to play some real minutes. I almost feel that he should start, but who do you take out? Figo? Deco? Ronaldo? Difficult choice.

In case starter plays badly or is injured:
Miguel: Paulo Ferreira
Pauleta: Nuno Gomes
Meira: Ricardo Costa
Maniche/Tiago: Costinha/ Petit

What do you all think?

My starting line-up would be:
Ricardo, Miguel, F.Meira, Carvalho, Nuno Valente; Costinha, Petit, C.Ronaldo, Deco, Figo; Pauleta.

And you're right, Simao has to play some part, meaby the last 20-30 minutes or so.He is a good replacement for Figo or C.Ronaldo.

As for Maniche and Tiago playing together in central midfield, I don't think that's a good idea, because they are both attack-minded and you need someone defensive to balance the team, like Costinha.
Does anyone know how Maniche has played in the friendlies? Would like to know if he is in good form or not... I think that Petit is a world class player, and with him and Costinha in midfield, portugal could go far in the tournament.

Im hoping for a 4-1-2-2-1 formation against Iran

-------------Sanchez-----------------
Castro----Marquez---Salcido----Pineda
----------------Pardo-----------------
----------Naelson---------Morales-----
---Bravo---------------------Fonseca-
---------------Borgetti----------------

I dont know much about Angola but we should take them with this lineup.

--------------Sanchez----------------
Osorio----Marquez---Salcido----Pineda
----------------Pardo-----------------
Castro--------------------Morales-----
---------------Naelson----------------
---------Franco------Fonseca---------

But for Portugal a 4-1-3-2 Formation would suit us well

-------------Sanchez---------------
Osorio----Suarez---Salcido----Pineda
--------------Marquez---------------
Pardo----------Perez---------Morales
----------Borgetti--------Bravo------

here are the players I would send on the pitch:

------------------ Taleblou ----------------
--Sadeghi---Bakhtiarizadeh--Rezaei---Zare--
--------------- Teymourian ----------------
--Mahdavikia------- Zandi -------Madanchi--
------------- Karimi ------------------------
-------------------Hashemian--------------

But here is what probably that moron Ivankovic will pick:

------------------ Mirzapour----------------
--Kaabi----Golmohammadi---Rezaei----Zare--
--------- Nekounam --------Zandi-----------
--Mahdavikia------- Karimi -------Hashemian-
------------------- Daei -------------------

I'd rather have Suarez play the other 2 games and not play against Portugal, Ronaldo would tear him up.
