what do you know about Chinese football
The players in China have a great deal of freedom. The allocation of time is according to themselves. It seems to be a great football nation except for some scandal.

qaulity of football is definitley not up there, even compared to other asian leagues. The Chinese Super League has a number of imports which help add diversity to the game.
I would say its top 6 Asian Leagues behind J-League (best asian league) K League, Iran, UAE & Saudi leagues.

I know that for having a 1+ billion people it's pathetic to not be able to find 11 players that will make a competitive team

相信我, 你不要看:-D
Chinese football is nowhere near as good as it should be.
I lived in China for about a year total. I was there until about a month ago. While I was there, the Wuhan football club left the Chinese league in protest. It was something about one of its players being handed a suspension too harsh for a foul. There was a lot of talk in the Chinese language publications about disbanding the entire league, and about how the whole thing is based on corruption.
Just like everything else in China, there's a lot of hype and not a lot of substance. Chinese football has been hyped up for the last few decades, and we're still waiting for it to come to fruition. I'd recommend trying to catch CCTV-5 streams whenever you can to get a feel for what the sport is like over there, but you probably won't be very impressed.
If you want a challenge, try playing as a Chinese club in Football Manager. I did that until I realized that all my good players were signing foreign deals as soon as they possibly could. It's frustrating.

I know that they have 11 players on each team and a football.
So about the same as an average Man Utd fan knows about the premiership.

Wow, you're original. The funny thing is that a good number of football fans in China are............you guessed it - Liverpool fans. Your brethren, it seems.
