Di Biasi out at Toro, no surprise there, i think it would be a miracle if Torino manage to stay up this year.
could be terrible for Toro's fans, but good for one person. Rosina. he's too good to play in B if they go down.
anyway, Novellino back in. only in Italy can these things happen where managers are sacked but then brought in again. can anyone tell me what Novellino is going to do now that he couldnt do before with virtually the same squad?

I can't shake the feeling that Ranieri will get sacked by the end of the season for some reason Maybe if Juve don't win Serie A , the board will get ruthless. I wouldn't put anything past them.

Juve certinly is a tough position to hold for some. after Juve's start, he has turned things around. (not that Juve had a poor start)
read some rumors about Benitez possibly taking over for Claudio at some time, but thats simple crap.
just goes to show you how fickle calcio fans are and more than the fans, the presidents.
im very happy that in Roma's very poor start to the year, Rosella Sensi didnt get trigger happy and so it through with Spalletti. and credit to Spalletti for never saying he would quit when it got tough.

He's a good manager and it would be good for Roma if he stays there. Anyone else would just fuck things up, and to be honest i don't think someone like Totti would listen to anyone else as Totti IS the club

Totti has cooled out a ton over the past 3-4 years, family life have helped but Spalletti as well. remember too, before Spalletti there was a huge period of uncertainly...Voeller, Del Neri, Prandelli, then COnti all taking the helm before Franco Sensi took a chance on really an unproven manager to a degree at the time. (only won with Empoli up from Serie B, and took Udinese to CL qualification)
but i think all Roma's players play for him, and thats the difference between him, and say......Mancini of Inter when he was there.

Oh yes Mancini. Did he get lost in a job centre? I can't remember the last time i heard anything about him.

he apparently says he is fine being out of management for a bit. which means, no one wants him.
i could see him come back at some time in calcio tho. tbh, before Novellino was brought back in at Toro, i thought he might have a shout.
i could see him taking over his former club Samp at some time. problem is from him being at Inter he will begin to demand high wages which will take him out of the running for smaller clubs.
another one i havent heard from in a bit until this Torino position was available, is Donadoni. looks like Cairo decided better to stick with what i know, rather than a former NT manager... tough pill to swallow for Donadoni eh

Mancini is a very rich man. Why can't for instance take over a newly promoted side next season and work for reduced wages or even for free for a year? Obviously it won't happen, but it would show his commitment to a new job. I happen to think he is a really good manager and would do well at Sampdoria or a club like it.

well, the wages will never happen. and also his commitment is only as deep as the owners pockets imo. i also, and i think im in the majority with Interisti, is that he was a poor manager who had amazing resources. his tactics/substitutions were plain awful.
which would be why him at a smaller club with limited resources may show his true colors as a poor manager.
i do give him credit tho for his part in the players he brought in during his time. Cambiasso, Ibra, Cesar etc. not sure how much of a part he played, but they certainly got some great players under Mancini

Oh ok you've got a point then I talk out of my arse a bit when it comes to Italian football these days, but i knew a lot about it when it was shown on Channel 4 some years ago.
