The pressure on managers to succeed is too high imo and the quality of them has declined.
Was watching the Sampdoria Vs Bremen qualifier(watched the first leg aswell)the striking thing wasnt lack of quality players out there but lack of tactics. If some players are having a good game you dont take them off especially if they are helping balancing things. The lack of service from the fullbacks should mean they are supposed to stay back etc.The tactical naivety cost Sampdoria more then anything.
The Italian Football seems to be on the declining because lack of youth being given a good chance. The veterans are very good no doubt about that but you just cant keep relying on them. The Marquee players are withering and with no one to take the crown something like this was bound to happen.
Oh yes the tactical refinement or evolution hasnt taken place except for Inter that would help them take one step higher in Europe. No one would be able to breach Italian defences half a decade ago but now the opposition do.
Last season was an interesting one and if Roma can get of to a good start they should take Inter to the wire.
