Default Antonio Cassano

Probably been done before, but who here favours his inclusion in the Italian National Side for this World Cup?

He's one of the most gifted players of his generation and his temperament has much improved. Italy lack creativity - he was the only real spark for them in their dismal Euro 2008 venture.

Well?

With no real creativity in Italy (Pirlo, although his recent form is quite good, is predictable on the world stage; hence his creativity is in question) Cassano MUST be chosen. He's a game breaker; plain and simple he'll make things out of nothing and feed whoever are the out-n-out strikers. My opinion, he should play alongside clubmate Pazzini in the Starting XI. They've proven that they can play together to perfection (Samp only struggles because they have nobody to give them the ball). Cassano is magical.

...And yes, I am biased since I'm from Bari, but nonetheless, his talent cannot be ignored. Two yellows last year and and three this year. His temperment has improved along with his work ethic (remember he turned up a week early to training...and he WASN'T fat??). There is no reason for his exclusion.

But it won't happen. Lippi is too stuborn and unlike Donadoni, he won't buckle to the demands of the fickle Italian media.

I'm having a hard time digesting the fact that Cassano may be on a loan move to Fiorentina. If this truly is the case, their going to have a lot of fire-power ahead of their Champions with Bayern.

Without the NT, perhaps Cassano needs the motivation of UCL title to keep determined

Cassano coming out and saying he is staying at Samp and declining Viola's loan offer.

fans love him, but as long as Del Neri is there...there is going to be tension and Cassano might not play. cant see him being happy with that for a long stretch of time.
