National Team Facts
* Egypt have reached the FIFA World Cup™ finals twice. In 1934 they were the first African nation ever to achieve this milestone, playing only one game against Hungary - which they lost 4-2.
* In 1990, the team qualified for the FIFA World Cup finals again, putting up a memorable showing in Italy. With their innovative style and quality technique they managed to hold both the Netherlands and Ireland to draws, losing only narrowly to England, who went on to reach the semi-finals.
* Have won the African Nations more than any any other nation.

I've been keeping track of Al-ahly's progress in the CAF Champions League. They just drew 0-0 with Renaciemento (I can't find a consistent spelling of that name) on the first leg of the third round. They'll be playing at home on the next leg.
http://championsleague.mtnfootball.com/live/index.php is the most complete site on African football I've found so far but it's not updated with this round's results yet. I found them here - http://www.weltfussball.de/spielplan...id=0&x=20&y=10
