Default Arsenal hung me out to dry, storms Cole

Quote:
Arsenal hung me out to dry, storms Cole

Ashley Cole's future at Arsenal appears uncertain after he criticised the club while promoting his new book.

The 25-year-old, who was punished by the Premier League for an illegal meeting with Chelsea, claims the Gunners used him as a scapegoat over the ``tapping up'' affair with the Premiership champions.

The England left-back has since signed a contract extension with Arsenal but has now revealed his bitterness at the club.

'Arsenal hung me out to dry, using me as a scapegoat to get back at Chelsea,'' said Cole in a blurb to promote his book quoted in The Sun.

'The board `rewarded' me with an insult and threw years of loyalty back in my face.

'I'll reveal the shattering truth about who fed me to the sharks. It changed my view forever on the club I regarded as family.'

I think he is trying to sell more copies of his books, if he didn't like the contract we gave him and it was an insult he could have said no. So he comes of as a money grabbing whore or a hypocrite.

Cole has mentioned that due to a "secret deal" he had to stay at Arsenal. I look forward to him revealing this "secret deal" in his book.

if been hearing about this for a bit now. If this is true..he can go bang himself for all i care. WE pay him..he doesnt pay us!. He hung himself out to dry when he went around our back. I dont want us to start doing this all over again. If he wants to go..let him GO!

We may as well just sell him now. He's making a tit of himself and us. It doesn't matter how good he is, he is just a complete twat.

We knew this was coming for awhile, we just held out hope that Ca$hley would leave with grace. Arsenal was not right in offering him the contract figures that they did originally, but everything after that point I think the kid (based upon the way he is acting) should accept responsibility for.

i started disliking cole ever since that incident with Chelsea... he is just not as loyal as he wants us to think he is..
tell me, would a true loyal player ever say something bad about his club to the press???
he's jsut trying to sell his upcoming book.. just like David Beckham..
Becks used this trick when he was selling his book. before "my Side" was released, he told the press that his book would contain the real story between him and Fergie.. just to get us interested...

i don't care. he was dead to me for a while now. he's a top LB, but 16 mil for a LB is great business. then sign Juve's Giorgio Chiellini to replace him (along with Buffon and Thuram) and i'm ecstatic. the last thing i'm going to worry about is the feelings of a damn LB.
