Default New On-Field Injury Rule

So this season the FA have specified that players should no longer put the ball out when another player is down injured, and it is now the full responsibility of the referee to stop the game in case this happens. Before the referee stopped play only if the player had a head injury or was bleeding, but now he is the one to stop it for all injuries on the pitch. This was brought about because apparently there were complaints about clubs whose players would purposefully go down injured so the other side would put the ball out and play would be interrupted.

So, after a few weeks, any thoughts on this rule change? tbh, a lot of times I've still seen players put the ball out when another player was down, and I haven't seen the refs jump in too much to stop play. On Soccer AM last week I think Jimmy Bullard said something along the lines of "we didn't really listen to the ref when he told us that". I suppose it'll take some getting used to for both players and referees.

thoughts?
