totti in his traditional false9 role, with bojan/mirko/lamela running into channels. pizarro/derossi deeper
still hard to call as i'm sure we'll be making more signings
our B team/bench will compose of lobont, rosi, crescenzi, simplicio, brighi, bertolacci, greco, borriello, d'alessandro, and of course some new signings. we need depth at CB badly. it pains me to say it but it makes financial sense to sell perrotta and taddei
|
giving perrotta a new contract last season was another mess by the management. taddei could still fill in on the wings as we lack players there, but perrotta will be 0% use to us next year. he must be sold and he is in the way of young players like greco and bertolacci.
i believe vucinic will be sold. menez is still 50-50, he is an idiot though, had issues with spalletti, ranieri, and montella.
lamela will be a rotation player at least, it would be idiotic to spend 20M on him and then keep him on the bench.
sabatini should also get shakira, little but strong player with good technique. and with the goalkeepers we have been linked with, i prefer sergio romero than the others.

giving perrotta a new contract was so we wouldn't lose him on a free. there are still a lot of clubs that could still offer a decent amt of money to us to buy perrotta. mirko will only be sold if it's a good offer. sabatini said himself he wants to keep him

Me too. I wouldn't mind Sigiru either.
A friend of mine said this so I'll quote him because it's perfectly said.
"Totti needs to take him under his wings. He has to pass on his years of experiences and help him prosper in the environment. A lot is going to be asked of this kid - at 19 he is commanding a big transfer fee for Roma standards so the expectations are sky high. I just hope he is given enough time and space to prosper.
Lamela is not a goal scoring machine but the kid can supply day in and day out. He just needs to be handled really well and I hope his 5 years & more are wonderful at Roma."

I dont think Totti does at all, nor do I think he will. he always has been fine with the younger players, but I think LE will take all the youngsters under his wing, as thats bascially what his job was at Barca.
it wont be Il Capitano doing that...it will be LE working extra with Lamela, Angel if he comes, Bojan etc.

Angel announced in a day or so, bids for Zabaleta, and Kameni apparently was asked for specifically by LE as opposed to Steklenberg. low wages reportedly too, and about 4.5 mil to sign him which is nice
im not sure how large an impact he will have, he can be a bit erractic from what ive seen but very decent shot stopper whenever I caught Espanyol play

seems like we have angel/bojan pretty much in the bag now
we're also linked with zabaleta now though for €10m. and our bid for kameni is going to be around the €2m mark
which means so far we might have 4 new players next season, all spanish-ey. but we still got time/money to sign some italiani like giuseppi rossi, lucchini, or marchisio right?
crescenzi/bertolacci were also in the squad in our recent training session tho, which means they're probably staying with us next season

Marchisio? You need to break the bank on that one me thinks and I still don't think he will be sold.

most likely not. same goes for giuseppi rossi. haven't heard of us being linked with any italians really
but trade deal with vucinic <> marchisio was mentioned about a week ago
