What an absurd thread, Walter relies on the 4-5-1, the last time Celtic played Rangers guess what formation they used? *ding ding ding*. Domestically he should switch to the 4-4-2, but in Europe the 4-5-1 is a smart, possession based strategy.

As for the thread topic, Smith knows he's out of his depth tactically in Europe so basically plays 10 men defending their own half with a lone frontman expected to flick long balls into the path of no-one in particular. Calling it "football" is being generous.
